Signs of the Times

Non-Christians find it hard to believe we are living in the last days of earth's history.
II Peter 3:3-4, "First, I want to remind you that in the last days there will come scoffers who will do every wrong they can think of, and laugh at the truth. This will be their line of argument: ‘So Jesus promised to come back, did He? Then where is He? He'll never come! Why, as far back as anyone can remember everything has remained exactly as it was since the first day of creation.'"

The coming of the Antichrist is a sign of the end.
I John 2:18, "Dear children, this world's last hour has come. You have heard about the Antichrist who is coming—the one who is against Christ—and already many such persons have appeared. This makes us all the more certain that the end of the world is near."

Did Jesus say when the end would come?
Matthew 24:14, "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."

Men posing as Jesus will try to deceive people in the last days.
Matthew 24:23-24, "At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!' or ‘There He is!' do not believe it. For false Christ's and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible."

There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars.
Matthew 24:29-30, "Immediately after the distress of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory."

What moral conditions will be characteristic of society in the last days?
II Timothy 3:1-5, "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them."

An increase in knowledge and travel is a sign of the last days.
Daniel 12:4, "But Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret; seal it up so that it will not be understood until the end times, when travel and education shall be vastly increased!"

What other signs of the last days does the Bible mention?
Luke 21:25-26, "There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken."

Talk of peace and safety are a sign of the last days.
I Thessalonians 5:2-3, "For you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, ‘Peace and safety,' destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape."

What are people to do when they see these things taking place?
Matthew 24:42-44, "So be prepared, for you don't know what day your Lord is coming. Just as a man can prevent trouble from thieves by keeping watch for them, so you can avoid trouble by always being ready for My unannounced return."

Because we have the bible our gift from our Father above...we will watch all of this above and not react like ......this------>

When even the Christians worship themselves or their things more than God, when people play God, when natural disasters are hitting the earth on a weekly basis, when children are out of control, when disobedience in all forms attacks families and societies, etc. etc. these are all warning signs. The birth pangs.....and still people mock our Faith. We all need to prepare spiritually. No matter what a struggle it may be....we must be ready at all times! Great post Glory!

This has been happening for quite some time...and will continue to happen. Fear not, children of God, we will know the truth when we face the truth, and we will know the lies while others fall into the traps. Stay focused upon Him and only Him.

What I find interesting is how many call Someone who recites their bible word for word as "mentally ill, with religious ideations"....yes...I have witnessed this many times.

That opinion is usually formed when a person is confronted with something...and in response quotes scripture.
